UPSC Recruitment 2026 – Eligibility Criteria
- Scientist-B (Mechanical): A) Master’s Degree in Physics + 1 year practical experience in testing/calibration of engineering materials/products or precision measurements/metrology OR B) B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical/Metallurgical Engineering + 2 years practical experience in testing/calibration of engineering materials/products or precision measurements/metrology (in recognized lab/institute). Desirable: R&D experience in testing of engineering materials and metrology/calibration.
- Scientific Officer (Non-Destructive): Master’s Degree in Physics OR B.E./B.Tech in Electrical/Mechanical/Metallurgy + 1 year experience in Non-Destructive testing Laboratory OR 1 year experience in X-Ray Diffraction or investigation of failure of Engineering Material by Non-Destructive and metallographic methods.
- Superintending Archaeological Engineer: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering + Eight years’ experience in Planning, Execution and Supervision of Civil Engineering works in Government Sector or Archaeological/Heritage Sites.
- Assistant Professor, Civil Engineering (Survey): B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering + M.E./M.Tech in Civil Engineering (Geo Informatics / Geoinformatics and Surveying Technology) with first class or equivalent either at Bachelor’s or Master’s level.
