On the eve of the first anniversary of the Pahalgam terror attack, tourists returned to the scenic destination with a new pledge: “We will keep coming to paradise.” With the hill station teeming once again with tourists, hotels are offering rebates on tariffs.

Pony riders, and taxis are offering free rides on Wednesday (April 22, 2026) as a goodwill gesture. “Many taxi drivers have volunteered to offer a one-hour free drive to tourists on the occasion,” Jan Khatana, a driver, said.
