Empowering Anti-Human Trafficking Units (AHTUs) with investigative powers, strengthening interstate coordination, and shifting towards proactive monitoring emerged as key solutions at the State-Level Convergence Workshop on Combating Human Trafficking and Bonded Labour held in Hyderabad on Saturday.
Experts and officials at the workshop, organised by the Women Safety Wing of Telangana Police in collaboration with the International Justice Mission, stressed that trafficking must be treated as organised crime rather than isolated incidents.
