Former Prime Minister H.D. Deve Gowda on Monday said that there has been a general decline in all aspects of society and pro people movements have reduced.
“Those with knowledge have become cynical about the system. Today, we are witnessing a decline in all aspects of society. Pro people movement has come down. What we require now is the philosophy of Allama, action of Basavanna, and anger of Ambigara Chowdaiah,” the former Prime Minister wrote in a thanking letter to the Basava Samiti that has selected him for the ‘Basava Sri’ award.
