CSBC Bihar Police Constable (Operator) Eligibility Criteria

Nationality: Must be an Indian citizen.

Educational Qualification (as on 31.03.2026)

• Intermediate (10+2) in Science or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
• Minimum 50% aggregate marks (45% for SC/ST reservation categories).
• From a recognized board.

Physical Standards

• Height:

  • Unreserved/Backward Class Males: 165 cm
  • Extremely Backward Class Males: 160 cm
  • SC/ST Males: 160 cm
  • All Females: 155 cm

• Chest (Males only):

  • Unreserved/Backward: Unexpanded 81 cm, Expanded 86 cm
  • SC/ST/Extremely Backward: Unexpanded 79 cm/81 cm, Expanded 84 cm/86 cm

CSBC Bihar Police Constable (Operator) Selection Process

Selection in three stages:

1. Written Exam:

   • 100 marks, 100 objective questions, 2 hours, OMR-based.
   • Syllabus: Intermediate level (Bihar Board).
   • Sections: 25 Qs General Knowledge/Current Affairs; 25 each Physics, Chemistry, Math.
   • Minimum 30% to qualify for PET.
   • Shortlist up to 5 times vacancies category-wise (may reduce if insufficient candidates).
   • Normalization for multi-shift exams.

2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET) (Qualifying):

   • Running: 1.6 km in 6 min (males); 1 km in 6 min (females).
   • High Jump: 3 ft 6 in (males); 2 ft 6 in (females).
   • Shot Put: 16 lb to 15 ft (males); 12 lb to 8 ft (females).
   • Up to 3 attempts per event.
   • Physical measurements checked; failure disqualifies.
