IIT Goa Summer Internship 2026

IIT Goa Summer Internship 2026 applications are now open for undergraduate and postgraduate students. Indian Institute of Technology Goa (IIT Goa) invites applications from students of other institutions for its Summer Internship Program 2026. The internship will run from 16 May 2026 to 10 July 2026 (minimum 6 weeks, maximum 2 months) in offline mode at the IIT Goa campus.

It is divided into two tracks: Track A (funded with a ₹5,000 stipend per month for 23 positions) and Track B (unfunded or self-funded). The last date to submit the online application is 13 April 2026. Results will be announced on or before 24 April 2026.

Eligibility Criteria for IIT Goa Summer Internship 2026

• Currently enrolled in B.A., B.Sc., B.Tech., Dual Degree, M.A., M.Sc., or MCA programs.

• Students from institutions other than IIT Goa only.

• M.Tech students are not eligible.

• Applicants must be residing in India.

• A bonafide certificate from the parent institution is mandatory upon joining.

Minimum CGPA/performance criteria may vary depending on the specific project (mentioned against each Job ID).

Tracks and Stipend Details

• Track A (Funded): 23 positions with ₹5,000 stipend per month (maximum for 2 months).

• Track B (Unfunded): Projects with or without remuneration (depends on the faculty).

Important Note: Candidates can apply to only one track (either A or B). Applying to both tracks or submitting multiple applications using different email IDs will lead to rejection.

Departments and Projects

IIT Goa offers summer internships across various departments, including Computer Science & Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Aerospace, Biotechnology, and more. Projects cover emerging areas such as AI, UAV navigation, underwater acoustics, sustainable materials, biosensors, turbulent combustion, plastic degradation, and hypervelocity impact simulation.

Each project has a unique Job ID (e.g., SIITGOA001A, SIITGOA005A for Track A; SIITGOA001B for Track B). The complete list of projects is available on the official internship page.

How to Apply for IIT Goa Summer Internship 2026 – Step-by-Step

1. Visit the official Summer Internships 2026 page on the IIT Goa website.
2. Review the list of available projects and note the preferred Job IDs.
3. Fill the official Google Form and mention the selected Job IDs clearly.
4. Upload required documents (resume, academic transcripts, etc.).
5. Submit only one application per track.

Selection Process and Hostel Accommodation

Selection is based on academic profile, relevance to the project, and CGPA. Shortlisted candidates will be informed by 24 April 2026. The internship is offline, and interns will work under faculty supervision.

Limited on-campus hostel accommodation is available on a twin-sharing basis at standard institute rates. Mess charges and one-time fees (₹500 for transport & ambulance, ₹50 for ID card) apply. Details will be shared with selected candidates.
