A total of 15 Apprentice Trainee vacancies have been announced across two qualification categories – 8 posts for B.Tech/B.E. degree holders and 7 posts for Diploma / B.Com / B.A. holders. Vacancies are spread across multiple STPI centres in Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Guwahati, Gurugram, Hyderabad, Noida, Mohali, and Pune.
Reservation is as per Government of India rules – out of the 15 vacancies, preference will be given to 3-OBC, 2-SC, and 1-ST candidates. Candidates must carefully apply for the correct discipline and preferred STPI centre location as indicated in the notification.

STPI Apprentice Trainee Recruitment 2026 Age Limit
The minimum age for all candidates is 18 years as on 11/05/2026. The maximum age limit differs by category – Unreserved (UR/General) candidates must not exceed 27 years, OBC candidates must not exceed 30 years, and SC/ST candidates must not exceed 32 years, all calculated as on 11/05/2026. Age relaxation is in line with Government of India rules for reserved categories.

STPI Apprentice Trainee Stipend 2026
Selected Apprentice Trainees will receive a monthly stipend as per the qualification category. B.Tech/B.E. degree holders will receive Rs. 15,000/- per month, Diploma holders will receive Rs. 10,900/- per month, and B.A./B.Com degree holders will receive Rs. 12,300/- per month.
The stipend will be facilitated through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mechanism – the Government’s admissible share of the stipend will be directly credited to the apprentice’s bank account through the NATS portal after successful DBT registration.
Candidates must ensure their bank account details (account number, IFSC code, bank name) are accurately entered during NATS portal registration, as any error may delay or prevent stipend disbursement. This is a training stipend and not a salary – no other allowances or service benefits are associated with the apprenticeship engagement.

How to Apply for STPI Apprentice Trainee Recruitment 2026
The application process is entirely online – only online applications through STPI’s web portal will be accepted; no offline, postal, or email applications will be considered. Before applying on the STPI portal, candidates must mandatorily register on the NATS Portal (https://nats.education.gov.in) and obtain their unique NATS Enrolment ID, which is required to be entered in the STPI online application form.
Keep all educational certificates, identity documents, and bank account details ready before starting the NATS registration. After successful NATS registration, visit STPI’s official website www.stpi.in, go to the Career Section, and complete the online application before 11/05/2026. Candidates are advised to apply well in advance and not wait until the last date to avoid technical difficulties.
- Step 1: Register on the NATS Portal at https://nats.education.gov.in and obtain your unique NATS Enrolment ID (refer to Annexure A in the notification for step-by-step instructions).

NATS Portal Registration Guide for STPI Apprentice Trainee 2026
Registration on the NATS Portal (National Apprenticeship Training Scheme – https://nats.education.gov.in) is mandatory for all candidates before applying on the STPI portal. The NATS Enrolment ID generated after registration must be entered in the STPI online application – applications without this ID will not be accepted.
