The selection process for Chhattisgarh High Court DEO Recruitment 2026 consists of two phases – Phase I Written Test and Phase II Skill Test. The examination is conducted through the Chhattisgarh Vyapam portal. Phase I Written Test is only a screening test; the merit list will be prepared exclusively on the basis of marks obtained in Phase II Skill Test, and the marks obtained in Phase I Written Test will not be considered for the preparation of the Merit List/Select List.
Candidates will be called for Phase II Skill Test in the ratio of 1:15 based on marks obtained in the Written Test. After receipt of the merit list (category wise – SC, ST, OBC, Male, Female and Divyang separately, and common merit list) from Vyapam, the High Court will publish the same on its website and document verification will be conducted at the High Court. After document verification, the select list and waiting list will be published on the official website of the Chhattisgarh High Court. In case of tie in marks in the Skill Test, the candidate born earlier will be placed above. If date of birth is also the same, preference will be given to candidates who have passed the Typewriting examination in Hindi and English from any recognised board.
Phase I – Written Test (100 Marks)
The Written Test consists of 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) divided into two sections. There shall be no negative marking in Phase I.
Phase II – Skill Test (50 Marks)
The Skill Test consists of Hindi and English Typing Tests conducted in Ubuntu Linux – Libre Office – Unicode Font. A deduction of 1/4 mark will be made for each mistake. To qualify, the candidate must secure a minimum of 10 marks in each typing test out of 25.
