Louisiana mass shooting: Eight of 10 victims are children, police say; suspect shot dead

Authorities said eight children were killed on Sunday (April 19, 2026). A total of 10 people were shot in the “domestic disturbance”, according to Shreveport Police Chief Wayne Smith.

The victims ranging in age from one to 14 years old. The shooting occurred around 6 a.m., Police Chief Smith said.
