The biomining process aimed at reclaiming land by removing waste from the Vedimara waste disposal site near North Paravur is nearing completion.
The process of backfilling has started at the site. The soil obtained after segregating waste and extracting refuse-derived fuel (RDF) is used for backfilling after carrying out scientific testing, according to a communication.
