Superintendent of Police P. Jagadeesh has warned of legal action against those circulating unverified news or rumours regarding the recent ‘honey trap’ case registered in the district, on social media.

“It has been observed that in connection with the honey trap case that recently came to light, certain individuals are directly or indirectly disclosing unverified information, rumours, and the personal details of the victims on social media platforms. Such actions not only infringe upon the victims’ privacy but also lead to severe psychological distress for them,” the SP said.
