UP GNM Eligibility Criteria 2026 is set by Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University (ABVMU), Uttar Pradesh for admission to the 3-year General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) diploma course through the UP GNM Entrance Test (UPGET 2026). Candidates must fulfill all eligibility conditions before applying.

UP GNM Nationality and Domicile Requirements
Nationality: Candidates must be Indian citizens.
Domicile: Uttar Pradesh domicile is mandatory for admission to Government GNM colleges.
Domicile Proof: Valid UP Domicile Certificate OR passing both 10th and 12th from Uttar Pradesh.
Note: Private colleges may admit candidates from other states, but government seats are reserved for UP domicile holders.
UP GNM Medical Fitness & Disability Rules
All candidates must be medically fit.
PWD Reservation: 5% horizontal reservation for Persons with Disability having 40%–50% loco-motor disability of the lower limb.
PWD candidates must get their disability verified by a duly constituted medical board of a Government Medical College that includes a nursing expert.
