MP ESB Hospital Assistant Recruitment 2026 – Vacancy Details
A total of 1200 vacancies have been announced for the post of Hospital Assistant (Non-Executive, Fourth Grade). These are distributed across UR, EWS, SC, ST, and OBC categories with 35% horizontal reservation for women within each category. 4% horizontal PwD reservation is applicable (18 posts each for VH, EH, LD, and MD categories = 72 PwD posts total).
Ex-Servicemen (10% for 4th Grade) and Contractual (Sanvida) employee reservations are also applicable as per Govt. rules. OBC 27% reservation is subject to Hon’ble High Court order (13% provisional/hypothetical).
PwD (Divyangjan) Reservation – 72 Posts (Horizontal)
Note: PwD posts are horizontal and subsumed within each category’s open vacancies. The selected PwD candidate will be adjusted against their respective category.
MP ESB Hospital Assistant Recruitment 2026 – Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must fulfill all eligibility conditions as on the date of online application submission. The educational qualification must be possessed on the date of application. Candidates whose qualifications are obtained after the closing date of application will not be considered for the advertised posts. Candidates must ensure they fulfill all prescribed eligibility criteria before applying, as their eligibility will be checked only provisionally at the online examination stage; final verification will be done at the time of document verification by the concerned department.
All applicants must have a live registration at the Employment Office (Rojgar Karyalay) of Madhya Pradesh State. Special Primitive Tribal Communities (Baiga, Saharia/Sahariya, and Bhariya tribes) should submit separate offline applications directly to the concerned department (not to the Board) before the closing date.
Educational Qualification

Candidates must be at least 18 years and not more than 40 years of age as on 01-01-2026. The upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years (up to 45 years) for ST, SC, OBC, Women (reserved/unreserved), Government Employees (Govt./Corporation/Board/Autonomous Body/Home Guard), and Physically Handicapped candidates. EWS candidates are not eligible for age relaxation. Under no circumstances will the maximum age limit exceed 45 years for any category (except Sanvida employees and specific categories mentioned in Rule 13).
MP ESB Hospital Assistant Recruitment 2026 – Application Fee
Candidates applying for Hospital Assistant posts are required to pay a non-refundable examination fee as specified below. The fee must be paid online through the MP Online Portal (www.mponline.gov.in) via Credit/Debit Card or Internet Banking, or through authorized MP Online Kiosks. Fee paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.
Candidates submitting incomplete applications or applications without fee will have their candidature rejected. No fee is payable for Direct Recruitment Backlog vacancy posts. Candidates applying through Kiosk must pay additional portal charges. Fee concession for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwD is applicable only to domicile residents of Madhya Pradesh recognized as such by the Madhya Pradesh Government.

The selection process for MP ESB Hospital Assistant Recruitment 2026 consists of a single-stage Online Written Examination (Computer-Based Test) of 100 marks with 100 objective MCQ questions to be answered in 2 hours. The exam will be conducted in Hindi and English medium. Results will be prepared on the basis of the Percentile score (Normalised Equi-Percentile / NEP scaling technique) when the examination is held in multiple shifts.
The merit/panel list will be prepared category-wise based on the percentile score obtained by candidates. If candidates score equal percentile, the tie will be resolved first by proportionate marks, then by age (older candidate preferred). The waiting list (Pratiksha Suchi) will consist of 15% of the selected candidates’ count and will remain valid for one year from the date of result declaration or until a new result is declared, whichever is earlier.

The Online Written Examination consists of 1 paper with 100 objective MCQ questions of 1 mark each, to be answered in 2 hours. Applications must be submitted online only through the MP Online Portal at www.mponline.gov.in. No offline applications will be accepted. The online portal will be active from 07-05-2026 to 21-05-2026 (by 12:00 midnight). Candidates can apply either through self-login (using Credit/Debit Card or Net Banking for fee payment) or through authorized MP Online Kiosks (additional portal charge applicable).
Candidates must upload scanned copies of their color photograph (white background, front-facing, both ears visible, taken within 3 months), signature, and their own 2-line handwriting. Aadhar Card/Aadhar VID is mandatory to be filled in the application for biometric verification. Important Instructions for MP ESB Hospital Assistant Recruitment 2026 Candidates
- Aadhar registration is mandatory; only UIDAI-verified e-Aadhaar will be accepted. Multi-level biometric verification is compulsory at the examination centre.
- Candidates must bring their original photo ID proof (Voter ID, PAN Card, Aadhar Card, Driving Licence, or Passport) to the exam centre – e-Aadhaar printout is not accepted as photo ID.
- All electronic devices including mobile phones, calculators, digital watches, Bluetooth devices, recording devices, and scientific calculators are strictly prohibited inside the examination hall.
- Latecomers will not be allowed entry after the reporting time; no candidate may leave the examination hall after the exam begins until it is over.
- Special Primitive Tribal Communities (Baiga, Saharia/Sahariya, and Bhariya) candidates must submit separate offline hard copy applications directly to the concerned department (not to the Board) before the closing date.
- Women’s reservation (35%) is applicable only to domicile residents of Madhya Pradesh; female candidates from other states will be considered under the unreserved/open category.
- Candidates from other states (SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwD) will be considered under the unreserved (open) category and will not get reservation, age relaxation, or fee concession benefits.
- OBC Creamy Layer candidates are not eligible for reservation, age relaxation, or any other OBC category benefits.
- A candidate can give preferences for multiple posts in one application – all preferred posts’ eligibility documents must be uploaded. Candidates not marking preferences for all eligible posts will not be considered for those posts.
- No re-evaluation/re-checking of answer scripts is available after results are declared. No correspondence in this regard will be entertained.
- All disputes regarding exam conduct will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Madhya Pradesh High Court.
- For any suspicious activity or corrupt practices related to the examination, candidates must immediately report to the Board office with complete details.
