Candidates who meet the age criteria of 21 to 32 years and hold qualifications such as Master’s Degree, B.Ed., or other relevant educational qualifications (as per post) can now submit their online applications from 12 May 2026 to 30 May 2026. NPSC CESE 2026 Recruitment – Vacancy Details
A total of 120+ vacancies have been announced across 54 item numbers under various departments of the Government of Nagaland. Reservation is applicable as per Nagaland state government norms including UR (Unreserved), I.I. (Indigenous Inhabitant), and various Backward Tribe (B.T.) categories. NPSC CESE 2026 Recruitment – Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must fulfill all eligibility conditions as on the closing date of online application (30-05-2026). Only those candidates who possess the requisite qualification acquired from a recognized university/institution at the time of applying will be eligible. Merely registering or appearing in the examination does not make a candidate eligible. The post-wise minimum educational qualification requirements are as follows:
For Assistant Professors – Hr. Education Department: Master’s Degree from a recognized University with at least 55% marks (relaxable by 5% for ST/SC). Candidates who have been awarded Ph.D. in accordance with UGC Regulations 2009 are exempted from NET/SLET/SET requirement. NET/SLET/SET shall not be required for such Masters Degree Programmes in disciplines for which NET/SLET/SET accredited test is not conducted.
For Assistant Professors – CTE (Hr. Education Department): Master’s Degree from a recognized University with at least 55% marks (relaxable by 5% for ST/SC/differently abled candidates). Candidates applying for CTE posts must appear for separate Optional Papers as per the examination pattern.
For Lecturers – Technical Education Department: (i) Civil Engineering: B.E/B.Tech with minimum 60% aggregate or 1st Class. (ii) Electronics & Electrical Engineering: B.E/B.Tech with minimum 60% aggregate or 1st Class. (iii) M.Sc Physics/Chemistry/Mathematics/English with 60% (relaxable by 5% for SC/ST).
For Lecturers/WET/Research Associate (RA)/Training-Cum: Post Graduate with 50% Marks (relaxable by 5% for ST/SC category).
For PGT – School Education Department: Post Graduate with 50% Marks (relaxable by 5% for ST/SC/differently abled candidates).
For Graduate Teachers – School Education Department: Graduate/Post Graduate with 50% Marks (relaxable by 5% for ST/SC/differently abled candidates).

OTR (One Time Registration) is free of cost. Candidates are required to pay an examination fee as specified below. The fee can be paid through the payment gateway as applicable.
How to Apply for NPSC CESE 2026 Recruitment
Applications must be submitted online only through the NPSC portal at https://npsc.nagaland.gov.in. No hard copy applications will be accepted. The OTR (One Time Registration) starts from 12-05-2026 (Noon) and closes on 30-05-2026 (Noon). Candidates who have previously completed the OTR process may directly submit the online application. Candidates are requested to complete OTR at the earliest to avoid online traffic/complications due to last-minute submission.
Only those candidates with requisite qualification for CESE-2026 may register. Government employees must submit a “NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE” signed by the Head of the Department at the time of submission of the online application form. Any issues/complaints must be settled on or before the last date of submission – no issues/complaints will be entertained thereafter.
Documents to be Submitted when Called by Commission:
- HSLC/Matriculation/Equivalent Admit Card for proof of Date of Birth (no other certificate will be accepted for age proof)
- Educational Qualification Certificates – Mark Sheets & Pass certificates/provisional pass certificates from matriculation onwards till requisite qualification
- Indigenous Inhabitant Certificate, Scheduled Tribe Certificate, Backward Tribe Certificate (as applicable) – signed only by District Authority not below the rank of Additional Deputy Commissioner
- For PwBDs – certificate from competent medical authority in Form C, D & E as mandated in No.NPSC/EXAM-2/2025 dt 07.08.2025
- SC/ST & B.T. Certificates as relevant
- All documents/certificates must be duly signed by the concerned authority

- HSLC/Matriculation/Equivalent Admit Card is the only accepted proof of date of birth – no other certificate will be accepted.
