Candidates applying for ASSEB Recruitment 2026 must be Indian citizens, registered in a District Employment Office of Assam, and meet all age and educational requirements as on 01 January 2026.
- Age Limit: 21 to 38 years as on 01.01.2026; upper age relaxed by 5 years for SC/STP/STH (up to 43 years) and by 3 years for OBC/MOBC (up to 41 years).
- Junior Administrative Assistant cum Program Assistant: Graduate in Computer Science or related subject from a Govt. recognised institution with minimum 50% marks in HSLC (10th), HS (12th) and Graduation; extra marks up to 10 for MCA or equivalent and up to 10 for relevant Govt/PSU experience (≥1 year).
- Junior Administrative Assistant cum Accounts Assistant: Graduate in Commerce from a Govt. recognised institution with minimum 50% marks in HSLC, HS and Graduation; extra 10 marks for CA Inter, plus up to 10 marks for relevant Govt/PSU experience (≥1 year).
Salary
The salary for both ASSEB contractual posts is Rs 18,000 per month (fixed) for the first 11 months of the contract. After completion of the initial 11‑month period, if the candidate is re‑engaged, the remuneration will be revised with a lump‑sum 6% enhancement over the previous amount as per the Board’s regulations.
